Weeks ago, I discovered that it's not safe to ride & to listen to music at the same time. Because when you do so, you will not hear warnings!

What happened to my friend was, he didn't hear us as we warn him that a shark was so close behind him.

that's why riders must not do that esp when you're alone in the ocean!

Ooooh well, i love music too! It comforts me alot. But then i only listen to it when i'm out there & kite surfing alone. I'm scared that if i put my earphones on when there are a lot of kite surfers behind me, i may may not be able to hear or notice when they're already crashing close to me.. But no experiences with sharks though :D

Anyway, as a general advice, better to keep the volume down for safety reasons too! Especially when someone wants to get your attention to tell you something bad is coming up..

I love music too.. but i dont carry my stuff when i surf
