hi all! im preparing a trip to Australia and i plan to go kiting in Western Australia, probably around Perth and in Westcoast Australia. I have read a tons of information about kitesurfing only on the eastcoast. And i assume there are no sharks there because of the coral reefs. So would that mean there a lots of sharks on the other side?

Sharks hate corals. And yes, there are lots of them on the other side! But anyway, there are sharks in every ocean because hey! That has been their home for a million years now haha and luckily, very few of us get eaten by them.. the chance of getting dying in a car crash is way bigger, so don't worry about sharks!
But on a more serious note, why not try to head to Geraldton in western Australia? having heard from several reports, it's Australia's windiest & most consistent kiting spot!

I went kiting in Cairns a few years ago & just..DO NOT go there! All the monsters are there, and by monsters i mean man-eating crocodiles are included! they stay around the river mouth at the right side of the beach. and when the sun comes down, all the mosquitoes will come out! you know that if you get beaten by them, you can die, right?
i even lost my kite & bar. then i just asked for a boat from a local store to take me out to get it. really a pain when i went there! go to Spain instead!
