Contact glue really works! Apply a very small amount on the 2 layers of your kite that you wish to repair together. BUT do not stick them to each other YET. Let them dry first, and after a couple of minutes, put them together. Be very careful not to stick them wrongly. You can never pull them off apart anymore! Goodluck!

That already happened to me before. The wind blew so hard when i was at the beach then i placed some rocks on the kite. As the rocks were flapping, they were slowly creating a small hole in the ripstop. A SUPERGLUE is the best remedy for this! Honestly, i avoid seeking assistance from sail repair stores unless it is necessary and only if my equipment gets terribly damaged. And besides, a little glue wont make any difference in the performance of your kite!

my trainer also told me i could use this tape called clear canopy repair tape for my kite. however, i will try first to resort to your suggestion of using a superglue. and besides it could be way cheaper! thank you!
