what do you recommend/use to remove & protectyour kitesurfing equipment from rust? Lke the spreader bar, the binding parts, etc? thanku.

if the parts are painted, they wont rust. you can clean the parts with an sos pad, then paint them afterwards.. but still, depending on the functons of the parts, the paint may still wear off after some time. and so, u can try coke, it takes away rust and you can also use it to clean the parts regularly!

oh yeaah, coke or pepsi. both are highly acidic & they will take the rust away. u can remove the rust by placing/dipping the parts in pepsi or coca cola for a while.. if u ask me though, paiting those parts will only create a mess, thats only my opinion.

ooooh, coke? that really surprised me!  truth is, im not having any troubles with the major parts, just the screws and all the other small things.. thanks! I will give that a try!

ohh nice. softdrinks to keep the rust out of the boat? interesting! this is the first time i heard about this. usually i use SOS or scrubbing stuff to keep out the rust then i just repaint it.
