Anyone has ever tried to use single fins with their kites? I'd like to consider going single.. because i'm curious about their stability & speed projection for kite surfing.. help me out please

for kite surfing, i think it's still better if you stick with the twin fin, since center fins since center fins are often out of the water.. and also because it's better that you have more fin to hold your edge and to prevent the kite from going too much where it wants to go.

i already did a little riding using single fins and did not notice any adverse effect from the single fin. as a matter of fact, single fins felt pretty smooth without that outer fin drag.

Singles are fine as long as the edge connects before the fin gives way. They are actually faster because they do not create the drag that other fins give.. Althoug you should use the edge of the board to compensate for lack of side fins..

Depends on the number of your kiteboard fins. Sometimes it has something to do with the performance of a multi-finned kiteboard. The outside fins of a kiteboard draws a different line aside from what the rail draws. and those 2 opposing lines are not present in the single fin designs.

when you turn hard while kite surfing and your kites have no outer fins, your kiteboard will really be as slippery as a glass! outer kiteboard fins are really critical in kite surfing that's why i wouldn't recommend it...
