just found a waist harness on sale for only 48USD. however, other kite surfers say that i should have a seat harness instead so that my body won't slide. which should i get?

id recommend the seat harness. i know too many surfers acquiring back pain after every session.. and upon switching to seat harness, the backpain didn't occur again. and it looks easier, right? because waist harness put too much pressure on your lower back and seems to squeeze a surfer's ribs!!

No doubt, I am fully suggesting seat harness! esp when im kitesurfing with extreme powers then jumping alot? it feels so much more pleasant. and when you're in the air, you can hang for a long time without feeling your ribs being smashed into pieces

never go for a waist harness, it's not easy on the ribs! i was once hurt by my waist harness, not sure if i had my cartilage torn or cracked my rib. i threw it right after then went for Dakine's short harness. it quite helped in healing my ribs and i've never been happier when i made the shift from waist to shorts harness.
anyway, anything really....anything but a waist harness!
