Sometimes glue can be useless on repairs. What i use are adhesive strips that u can cut out depending on your desired shape. Those are the best that i found so far & i got a couple of them on my old cabrinha kite, u can purchase them in any kite shops, i guess? The glue on the strips is very strong & sticky & much easier to work with than an ordinary glue..

Forget trying to re-glue them! Those are old school repair methods. Instead, get U-stick valves from Airtime. They rock!! You can just fix them ON THE BEACH! and then you can go back to the water in 10 minutes. And since i have them now, i always keep one valve inflated & another one dumped in my kite bag.

if u're patient enough, u can do it overnight & use aqua seal. it also gives good results. here are a few tips though:
1. try to use only as much glue as needed. if u use too much, it may get all over everything & i may even glue your bladder & valve together.
2. some alcohol on a Q-tip will work great 4 removing the leaky valve.
3. rolls of electrical tape have just the right diameter to fit over the valve stems. stack 2 rolls of them over the valve & place a couple of small wieghts on them overnight.
4. when you're done with the glue, clean the tube & place it in the freezer so it wont dry up!

my valved recently popped off & i simply fixed it with a vinyl repair glue & tear-aid tape. I think if repairs faster than aquaseal. this is how i did it..
i placed a bead of glue around the valve flange & i let the glue sit on the valve for few minutes to start the cure. then i assembled the valve on the bladder that's flat & deflated. just be careful when aligning it to the hole.
finally i laid another bead of glue around the edge of the flange & i covered it with a doughnut-shaped tear-aide tape.
then i went back in the water after an hour. And i was surprised that the repair is holding up well after 3 sessions.... and counting!

the post by "city wind" is right on the money. we also use the Airtime valves on our school kites and for retail client repairs. easy to install and they last. good luck!
