Most of the time, we stay on the water in the keys and i have to launch in the middle of the bay, coming from my boat. Do you know any tools or kitesurfing gear that's best to launch from a boat in the water that i cannot possibly stand in?

i've seen this video. the scenario involves attaching the bar & lines to the kite while you're still on land. after that, carefully wind up the bar & lines & then fold them into the kite. And while you're on ur boat, pump up your kite but try not to twist the lines. You can probably ask another person to help you do it.. Another person can stand at the bow of d boat holding the kite. then u can gradually swim as u unwind the bar & lines, making the launch position.. Hope this helps!

Boat launches are tricky! I did it for a number of times and you really have to know how to read the wind lines very carefully and you shold wear fins! It would also help if the set up of your bar is simple, you'll have a tough time if you have bridle kites! You can Keep it steady too if you're using four lines..

Some basic tips are as follows, hope they can help you out my friend:
..inflate and rig your kite with bar and lines in a safe and easy location at home..
..then roll up lines very carefully from the back of the kite. then you can start going around bar ends from the beginning..
..attach the bar to the center of the kite..
..deflate the main strut, roll up your kite carefully, put it inside your bag..
..at the location, put on your fins and carefully unwind a bit of line and jumps into the water. have someone to assist you to hold the kite while leading the edge down and pumping the main strut. WHILE YOU swim away upwind and unwinding lines, using your fins to get the correct position for wind angle
..make sure lines are good, launch the kite, body drag to boat, then trade your fins in for the board.
..finally, land the kite to the person on the boat (the one assisting you) when you're done.

to backrolling!

let me just add to that, no kite line system is a hundred percent perfect.. That's why from time to time, you will have problems with twists and weaves with your kite line. All you can do is to practice tangling and untangling the bar and lines stretched out behind your kite on a windless day. It makes a big difference. oryt?

There are some good tools and other kiteboarding equipment out there and good techniques too which you can do with or without those kitesurfing gear.. It's always just a matter of how you implement and make good use of them.

The bar will never leave your surfing kite.. And as for me, i do several launches from my boat whenever i go kite surfing. I think all you need to do is to understand the things you "should not" do.. Then no additional kiteboarding equipment would be necessary! Goodluck!
