Do you guys still apply wax to your kite lines? I was just wondering if someone still does it until now?? and if so, are there any benefits to your performance?

yes, i do that! i apply bowstring wax to my lines.. and i honestly think it's the best stuff ever! it makes the bar slide better.. it also keeps them free from tangles & protects them against the water..
my friends use silicone spray..

i decided to wax my lines recently when i started to see wear on the lines where they cross most of the time when i do rotations.. becoz, well, when u start doing lots of double or triple spins and rolls, it adds up quickl & wax really makes it smoother & it also reduces wear and tear..
i use the ordinary candle paraffin wax i got from a local sundry store. the only problem i have is that during hot days, the sand sticks to the depower & u have to make sure it's rinsed from the very start or else it'll be damaged even more by the sand.

I used to wax my lines before but it didnt actually make a difference in the performance of the lines. and frankly, the wax only made evrything worse with all those sand sticking to it. and the lines seem to tangle easier when they're waxed. this keep on sticking to each other.
