What is the top/most famous kite and board when you want to go upwind? Did you guys ever try huge fins on your boards? How about the maximum upwind angle you made in kite surfing? any experiences on these?

Some TT kites would do good for going upwind while maintaining a normal riding. but for a great upwind racing, i suggest you get a directional race board. a spleene door and flysurfer speed 2 could take you upwind really REALLY well! you may also want to add some binding and straps. fins can also give you better acceleration than you think..

How about using a BP or Exxon with at least 300 gallons? They will allow you to stay in the water for a good amount of time in your session..
