For ur 1st few attempts, do not try it in more than 10 knots. Be in a place where there's as much open space as possible and make sure there arent any solid objects or people downwind. Well, if the beach is still crowded at day time, wait until the evening.. Blow you kite up so that the leading edge can stand firm, but then, not too firm that u can't bend it anymore. Then turn the kite over so that its leading edge would stand on the sand, facing the wind. Launch your kite seaward by laying your lines out downwind, separately & attaching them to your kite.

Good luck on what happens next! It would all be up to your hands.. Happy kiting!

Remember this too, do not put sand inside the kite for it may fall backwards when u launch it. Try to take your hands off the kite too so ud know if it will stay put because it might make a little turn until it finds the right and comfortable position in the wind. If u find the top lines tight and if it makes the kite stay in C shape too much and if it catches too much wind, loosen them so that the kite can lay a bit more flat..

So finally, when the kite is stable and no one's standing in ur launching area, walk quickly to the bar, pick it up, & attach your leash.. Walk backwards and do not trip over anything.. move until u're in line with the kite when it's already upright and has no tendency to fall.

gudluck! fly high!
