Kite Surfing Harnesses
The Kite Harness is an integral part of Kite Surfing. Without it, your kite would be harder to control and tricks will be difficult to execute.
So what exactly does a kite harness do? For starters, the harness helps in reducing the strain of controlling the kite on the rider's arms. It is done by attaching the harness along with a spreader to the control bar. The control bar, another Kite Surfing gear, is used to steer the kite to a particular direction.
There are several types of harnesses available today. First is the seat harness. Choose this type if you wish to minimize the effort you need to go Kite Surfing. You can also use the waist harness. This one is popular among more advanced kite surfers. It works by transferring the power of the kite from your arms, down to your legs and to the board. Finally, there are the vest type harnesses. The vest, aside from performing the usual function of a harness, also serves as a floatation device and protects the rider from impact.
Aside from kite harnesses, there are other pieces of Kite Surfing Equipment that help make your activity easy, and most of all, safe to do. Check out our Kite Surfing Equipment section. Have a great time riding on water!
