Memorial Fund for the Death of a Kitesurfer

A Memorial fund has been set up for a kitesurfer who lived for his sport.
Fellow kitesurfers and friends of 30-year-old Charlie Williams, who died while kitesurfing off Southbourne beach on February 11, want to mark his life.
Likewise, Charlie's wife Sue, has requested if they can get donations for a bench to be put at Southbourne in Charlie's memory. Charlie's death had devastated the kitesurfing and windsurfing communities as well as Charlie's wife and family.
Kitesurfers are thinking about organizing events in Charlie's memory such as a down wind kitesurf from Sandbanks to Southbourne and barbecues on the beach.
His packed funeral was held at Bournemouth Crematorium on Friday, February 16.
