Wind over Water and Kite Adventures Race Club is now making its comeback to be held at 3rd Avenue in San Mateo, California on alternating Thursdays throughout the summer beginning May 10 until Sept. 6, 2007.
Providing an alternative race location in the South Bay gives more Bay Area kiters an opportunity to participate in course racing on a regular basis.
Races will begin at 5pm sharp with a Skippers meeting at 4:30pm at the upper launch of 3rd Avenue. Racers will compete on the standard windward leeward course, the same course as the Cabrinha Race Series. There will be 4 heats of races per night, with the possibility to open up a girl’s race heat depending on interest.
Race schedule are as follows: May 10 & 24, June 7 & 21, July 12 & 26, August 9 & 23, and Sept. 6 as the final race.
The first race is limited to 15 racers so sign up now. There is a $25 registration fee per racer per event or $100 for 5 races. Email jessie@kiteadventures.com to register.
