Learn Kite Surfing Weekend


TUESDAY, 28 AUGUST 2007

Learn kitesurfing over the weekend starting September 22, 2007.

Learn how to set up equipment, choose appropriate equipment, assess the weather conditions and be a safe kiter. Learn to control the power in a kitesurfing kite, complete a self rescue and powerfully propel yourself through the water with a kite. There will be a maximum of 4 students per instructor. You will also be able to try the board. Learn where to position the board and kite to kitesurf then... do it!

There are three locations for this program: City (Brisbane - Queensland), East Brisbane (Brisbane - Queensland) and Moreton Island (Brisbane - Queensland).

Instructors are qualified with IKO, first aid certificate and boat license. A waiver/indemnity form will need to be filled out prior to first lesson.

To join, you must be at least 10 years old and is fit. Booking must be done 2 days before the activity. Lessons will depend on appropriate weather conditions - especially wind. Where conditions are inappropriate, lessons will be rescheduled as agreed between the student and the school. Lesson run subject to minimum numbers being met.
