Beach to Turn into Premier Kite Surfing Spot
FRIDAY, 23 NOVEMBER 2007
Adur District Council recently revealed their intent to turn the Shoreham Beach into a premier kite surfing destination. The said beach is about 200 meters and is located in Sussex, England.
According to the council’s plan, about 100 meters of the area will be set aside as the launching and landing site for kite surfers.
At present, the council officers are working on proposals that will be submitted to the community’s appraisal as well as to the leisure services committee next week.
Once the papers have been approved, a safety sign will immediately be installed on the beach that will inform the users regarding the zone. The kite surfing zone is expected to become active this coming May and September.
