Tahunanui Kite Surfers Criticized by Rescuers |

After the most recent kite surfing accident at the Tahunanui Beach in New Zealand on February 24, Nelson Surf Lifesaving Club president Marcus Gardner aired his sentiment that kite surfers are risking their lives and costing rescue services thousands of dollars.

Australian Kite Boarding Event Set for March 7-11 |

Australia’s top kite surfers are set to meet once again in the region for the 2008 Australian Kite Boarding Championships that will run from March 7 to 11. The event will be held at the Elliot Heads which, according to organizer Bill Crang, is the perfect playground for the airborne acrobats.
Crang says the title will surely be awarded to someone who will exhibit the most exciting moves.
