Luderitz Record Attempt Counts at PKRA Ranking
WEDNESDAY, 30 JULY 2008
Speed:World:Cup is happy to announce that the final ranking of the Luderitz Speedsailing World Record Attempt, taking place from the 15th of September until 13th of October, will count towards the PKRA Speed overall ranking. Thus, the 2008 world champion will be crowned this year during this special event, in the best conditions and the highest speeds. The average of the two fastest speeds will count for the event ranking, whenever they are set on the four-week record attempt period.
Speed:World:Cup is still working on a national event for windsurfers and kiteboarders that will be held in Walvis Bay on mid-October. News about this event, if it takes place, and the exact dates will be published as soon as possible. Visit www.speedworldcup.com.
Speed:World:Cup is the officially sanctioned world tour of the International Speed Windsurfing Class (ISWC) and the Professional Kite Riders Association (PKRA).
